Frequently Asked
Questions

What is Microblading?

The process of manually implanting color pigment into the top layer of the dermis using tiny, sterile, disposable needles to create the appearance of natural-looking hair strokes is known as microblading (also called microstroking, eyebrow embroidery, feather stroke brows, 3D brows, micropigmentation, etc.). This method will produce a gentle powder stroke for a client with extremely oily skin. Skin types that are dry to normal typically heal more clearly defined outcomes.

This method is excellent if you are a client who doesn’t typically use makeup to fill in their brows and you want a very natural look. If you are used to filling in your brows, we would highly recommend a Combination Brow as Microblading may .

While ombre shading uses a tattoo machine to create a soft, powdered effect within the brow, microblading uses a hand instrument to carve hair-like strokes into the brow. Both techniques require at least two appointments (an initial appointment and a follow-up six to twelve weeks later) and use the same sort of ink. A Microbladed brow, often called a Combination Brow, can also be shaded as necessary to give depth.

Your skin type, texture, thickness, undertones, brow hair color, natural growth patterns, asymmetries, facial shape, and bone structure will all be examined during your session. Melanie will create and shape the brow to make it balanced and attractive, and she favors natural brow designs. Unwanted brow hair will be removed and a color will be chosen to closely match your brow hair. Your skin type and desired outcomes will determine the technique (hairstrokes, shading, or mix) used during your consultation.

Considerations related to skin type include:

Oily Skin: Normal to dry skin types respond well to microblading. Clients with larger pores or more oily skin types might not benefit from microblading. Hair strokes may become blurry and heal lighter and more powdered than you might anticipate due to increased oil production.

Mature skin is typically thinner and more sensitive, which may make bleeding and pigment loss more likely.

Darker Skin: The strokes may have less contrast and discernible detail.

Previously Tattooed Brows: Any prior tattoos must be almost undetectable. Pigment retention may be impacted by scar tissue from prior tattoos. If you have already had your brows tattooed, a consultation is necessary.

A consultation is necessary before making an appointment if you have had permanent makeup that is incorrectly formed, doesn’t fit your features, or the color has changed to an undesirable and unnatural hue. EXISTING BROW TATTOOS: When it comes to existing tattoos and the work of other tattoo artists, we are quite picky. Before scheduling an appointment, if you have already had your eyebrows tattooed, please submit us clear pictures of your brows for approval at artprismtattoo@gmail.com Please include the date of your most recent brow tattoo, the number of sessions you had, the name of the company and the artist who did the work, along with the images in your email.

What is a Lip Blush tattoo?

The purpose of a lip blush tattoo is to accentuate the natural symmetry, color, and shape of the lips. Depending on your skin tone and personal preferences, a bespoke pigment is placed to your lips to give definition and cover up flaws.

On the first day, your lips will resemble lipstick, but as they heal, they will soften and take on a very delicate, natural-looking lip tint. Your lips will always look gorgeous if you apply a little gloss or balm!

Lip tattoos might trigger cold sore outbreaks if you are prone to them. To avoid cold sores, we advise our patients to take their antiviral medicine as directed a few days before and after the treatment.

We ask that if you have an outbreak or any other kind of acne or scrape,

For the first three days, there can be some bruising, redness, and swelling.
Use an ice pack for no more than 15 minutes at a time if you feel swollen.
There shouldn’t be much skin flaking or scabbing during the first healing phase. If there is some flaking or scabbing, let the dry skin or scab fall off naturally rather than picking. Usually, this happens in the first three days.
After the healing process is finished, the hue should brighten by up to 50–70%.
At different phases of healing, color may appear uneven. Have patience. This procedure doesn’t produce results right away.

To provide the appearance of larger, darker, thicker lashes, lash augmentation is tattooing an incredibly thin black line along the top lash line at the roots of the lashes. The outcome is an organic, fresh, enlightening impact. You may also choose to get a subtle tattoo on the bottom lash line.

Anyone who desires longer, darker, healthier-looking lashes—including individuals with naturally sparse lashes or medical problems like alopecia that cause lashes to fall out—can benefit greatly from lash augmentation. People who have glaucoma and Graves’ disease might not be suitable candidates. If you have just undergone eye surgery or want to have surgery soon, you should also wait. If you’re unsure if lash enhancement is the correct choice for you, get in touch.

For the first ten days, the liner color will usually appear significantly darker, much like with microblading. Six to eight weeks following your initial visit, a touch-up is advised to guarantee that the pigment is placed uniformly for stunning, long-lasting effects.
